Surah Al-Bayyina

The text of Surah Al-Bayyina in Arabic:

1. لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ
2. رَسُولٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ يَتْلُو صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً
3. فِيهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ
4. وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلاَّ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ
5. وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلاَّ لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاء وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَذَلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ
6. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ
7. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ
8. جَزَاؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ رَبَّهُ

Translation of Surah Al-Bayyina in English:

Those who disbelieved from among the People of the Book and the polytheists were not to be repented of until there came to them clear evidence – A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures. In them are correct laws. And those who were given the Book were not divided except after the clear evidence had come to them. And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. Indeed, those who disbelieved from among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the Fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures. Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – those are the best of creatures. Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for whoever has feared his Lord.

Lam yakuni allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi waalmushrikeena munfakkeena hatta ta’tiyahumu albayyinatu

Rasoolun mina Allahi yatloo suhufan muthahharatan

Feeha kutubun qayyimatun

Wa ma tafarraqa allatheena ootoo alkitaba illa min ba’di ma jaahat-humu albayyinatu

Wa ma omiroo illa liya’budoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena hunafaa wa yuqeemoo alssalata wa yu’too alzzakata wa thalika deenu alqayyimati

Inna allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi waalmushrikeena fee naari jahannama khalidiina feeha ola-ika hum sharru albariyyati

Inna allatheena aamanoo wa’amiloo alssalihati ola-ika hum khayru albariyyati

Jaza’uhum ‘inda rabbihim jannatu ‘adnin tajree min tahtiha al-anharu khalidiina feeha abadan raddia Allahu ‘anhum wa radoo ‘anhu thalika liman khashiya rabbahu.

Ras-ool-un min-a Al-lah-i yat-loo soo-huf-an moo-tah-har-a-tan

Fee-ha kut-ub-un qay-yim-a-tun

Wa ma taf-rar-qa alla-thee-na oo-too al-kit-a-ba il-la min ba-dee ma ja-ah-tum al-bay-yeen-a-t

Wa ma om-roo il-la li-ya-bud-oo Al-lah-a mukh-lis-een-a lah-oo al-deen-a hun-af-aa wa yoo-qee-moo al-sal-a-ta wa yoo-t-oo al-zak-a-ta wa thal-i-ka deen-u al-qay-yim-a-ti

In-na alla-thee-na kaf-ru-oo min ah-lee al-kit-a-bi wa al-mush-rik-ee-na fee na-ri ja-han-na-ma kh-a-li-dee-na fee-ha o-la-i-ka hum shar-ru al-ba-riy-ya-ti

In-na alla-thee-na aa-man-oo wa ‘a-mil-oo al-sal-i-ha-ti o-la-i-ka hum khay-ru al-ba-riy-ya-ti

Jaz-a-oo-hum ‘in-da rab-bi-him jan-na-tul ‘ad-nin taj-ree min tah-ti-ha al-an-har-u kh-a-li-dee-na fee-ha ab-da-an rad-dia Al-lah-u ‘an-hum wa rad-oo ‘an-hu thal-i-ka liman khash-i-ya rab-ba-hu.

Surah Al-Bayyina is the 98th chapter of the Quran and is a Makkan surah. It is a short surah of 8 verses and is one of the most important surahs of the Quran.
