    Translation of Surah Ash-Shams in English:<\/h2>\n

    And the sun and its brightness,
    \nAnd the moon when it follows it,
    \nAnd the day when it displays it,
    \nAnd the night when it covers it,
    \nAnd the sky and He who constructed it,
    \nAnd the earth and He who spread it,
    \nAnd a soul and He who perfected it,
    \nAnd inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,
    \nIndeed he succeeds who purifies it,
    \nAnd indeed he fails who corrupts it.
    \nThamud denied [Prophet] Salih and the terrible cry,
    \nWhen he brought them the clearest proof.
    \nAnd the messenger of Allah said, “This is the she-camel of Allah [as a sign of] guidance, so let her drink.”
    \nBut they denied him and hamstrung her, so their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them].
    \nAnd He does not fear the consequence thereof.<\/p>\n

    wa-ash-shamsi wa-duHaaha

    \nwa-as-samaa’i wa maa banaaha
    \nwa-al-‘arDi wa maa tahhaaha
    \nwa-nafsin wa maa sawwaaha
    \nfa-alhamaha fujuuraha wa taqwaaha
    \nqad ‘aflaha man zakkaaha
    \nwa qad khaaba man dassaaha
    \nkaththabat thamuudu bitaghwaaha
    \n‘idhi anba’atha ‘ashqaaha
    \nfa qaala lahum rasulu-llaahi naqata-llaahi wa suqyaaha

    benefits of Surah Ash-Shams<\/h2>\n

    Surah Ash-Shams is the 91st chapter of the Quran and is a Meccan surah. It is composed of 15 verses and is one of the shorter surahs of the Quran. The main theme of this surah is the importance of being grateful to Allah and the rewards that come with it. The benefits of reciting Surah Ash-Shams include:<\/p>\n
